If you were wondering, the title is a quote from Willem Dafoe in Boondock Saints. If you havent seen it you should rather not mention it to me as is can cause a rather violent bout of post-exam paper histrionics about the state of people's movie choices.
But anyway.
Just wrote Conflict (our sociology 242 module) - > big part on gender discourse, I want to post some of it here because it really is priceless, it disects the nitty gritty of male female communication down to the last letter.
But since they're not paying me to advertise their module, on to the next topic.
Names. On debaser's tagboard (yes he has one, please frequent it) there was a revelation of sorts, prompting me to go do some detective work (hey let's face it, my job description basically entails finding out things about people, its literally half of the work.)
So here goes:
Matthew - (Hebrew) "God's gift" (also name of muse's genius lead singer)
Kirstin - (Greek) "The annointed"
Mike - (Hebrew) "Who is like God?" (yes, your name means a question)(how ironic for an emo boy)
Ryan - (Celtic) - "Young Royalty" (so tempting to make a joke about crown jewels!)
Willow - Protector of the bitter sea (apparently she lives near the gall bladder ;P )
Gary - (German) "Spear Carrier" (ooooo warrior!)
Anica - (Scandinavian) "Gracious"
and Slop, please don't be mad, but for some inexplicable reason they didnt have "slopmaster" in their name database. ;P (but if you mail it to me i'll update my post)
And now for some people who don't visit here:
Trevor (Record, especially for soffy) - (Celtic) - "Prudent"
Ben (the big one) - (Hebrew) - "Son of"
Alex (scot) - (Greek) Protector of Mankind (princes of the universe lalalalalala)
Hope you have a good day
much love and work for goodness sake! work!
